They are described as having bearded lion’s mane-like faces, 81 or more scales on their back (in multiples of nine, their sacred number) and five huge claws. Japanese dragons…

I’ve always seen the dragons in the skies during storms. Long before having ever read anything that mentioned dragons and weather.

Asian dragon lore tends to be pretty accurate, I think. Although I don’t know about all that numerological garbage they thrown in there. Who cares? Not I.
